Frisco Seniors Rock For Arts of Collin County

FRISCO SENIORS ROCK FOR ARTS OF COLLIN COUNTY

Frisco, Texas – January 12, 2010 - January is off to a rockin’ start at the Frisco Senior Center as seniors participate in a month-long Rock-a-Thon benefitting the Arts of Collin County. Organizer Lyn Chambers wanted to give seniors an opportunity to contribute to the Arts of Collin County, which is looking to break ground in 2010, by rocking in the comfort of their own home or at the Frisco Senior Center. Each sponsored senior will raise $5.00 for each hour they rock now through the end of January. Frisco Family Services donated four rocking chairs which will remain at the Frisco Senior Center through the end of the month to insure multiple rocking opportunities. Seniors looking to get involved in a little healthy competition are encouraged to visit the Frisco Senior Center to track their pledges and hours completed.

For more information on the Rock-a-Thon or to sponsor a senior, please visit the Frisco Senior Center at 6670 Moore Street in Frisco or call 972-292-6550. To learn more about the Arts of Collin County and to find out how to contribute, visit www.artsofcollincounty.org.
