The Performance Hall
The Performance Hall serves as the focal point for the entire complex. Elegant, functional and sustainable, the Hall sets the tone for all future construction at The Arts of Collin County.

Looking to the rich history of Texas architecture for inspiration, a world-class team consisting of BOORA Architects, Inc, Hargreaves & Associated, Inc.; Hunt Construction Group; Kirkegaard Acousticians and Theatre Projects Consultants, Inc. joined forces to create a masterful setting for all to enjoy.
Designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly, the Hall will use the surrounding landscape to help achieve both objectives. The north side of the Hall will be built into a natural slope, which provides direct access for upper balconies and aids in cooling. Native stone and wood is to be used throughout to both tie the Hall to North Texas and to be ecologically smart. Vast expanses of glass and other daylight-catching architectural elements will help create a more open feel, transparent feeling between indoors and out while decreasing the need for artificial lighting during the day.
Inside the building, a near-transparent lobby will greet visitors. To the east, water gardens will overlook The Meadow while the southern view provides a scenic panorama of Rowlett Creek. Of course, these views will only be a prelude to what lies in store inside the main hall.
The 2,100-seat Performance Hall was conceived with intimacy in mind. A mere 100 feet will separate the furthest seat from the front of the stage. Naturally, superb sightlines and acoustics flow from this design, and the sense of closeness will be enhanced by the warm tones of the wood and stone that line the auditorium.

In addition to the main hall, the AT&T Learning Room will offer a state-of-the-art space for everything from recitals to receptions to master classes. Donors and patrons will be able to gather in the James and Betty Muns Donor Room. An art gallery overlooking a reflecting pool will house permanent and rotating collections. Visitors will have their choice of relaxing inside or out at both the orchestra-level cafe and balcony-level lounge.
